MARIKANA, South Africa — The police fired on machete-wielding workers engaged in a wildcat strike at a platinum mine here on Thursday, leaving a field strewed with bodies and a deepening fault line between the governing African National Congress and a nation that, 18 years after the end of apartheid, is increasingly impatient with deep poverty, rampant unemployment and yawning inequality.

I watched this video and it's pretty ugly alright.
ReplyDeleteBut if I was one of those cops and 30+ machette bad boys were charging in my direction I'd probably empty the magazine.
Took a knife to a gun fight.
ReplyDeleteDoesn’t matter who’s in charge when the people are disarmed.
Uh huh, " The end of apartheid ". - Translation - When white farmer`s who have cleared and cultivated the land for 200 yrs.are displaced by U.N. Nazi`s and threat`s from the American liberal`s. Some of the most fertile cropland in the world revert`s to jungle. The local`s no longer have job`s , and can go back to singing and dancing. AID`s virus and other filth spread`s like wildfire. What an improvement !.But at least Whitey`s gone and the happy darkie`s have their land back !.
ReplyDeleteNot blaming the cops a bit on this one. Nope, not even a little bit.
ReplyDeleteSo they traded apartheid with the ANC, which is part and parcel of the SA communist party.
ReplyDeleteOutta frying pan into the fire.

Agreed and posted.
Just to put thids in perspective, in the days preceding, these so called peaceful strikers had hacked to death 10 people. This included 2 cops who had gone to negotiate with them.
ReplyDeleteI live in this South Africa and we have basically the same types of problems that you guys have in the USA. people inpower using national money for their own ends. A mayor spens over 70 Million Rands (+- 700,000 dollars0 on a party for some bigwigs and the people of that city have to pay for it.
