Slippery when wet

Got this video of a North Atlantic highway in Norway from Murray. Watch the entire video, it is spectacular.

  1. how in the world can you build a road like that, with the ocean constantly having at you? and, i'll bet thats an icy mess when it gets cold.

  2. It is very impressive. It might be that the road only gets washed over when there are big ocean storms. We have a road that gets washed over near my home. Not that impressive though...

  3. Holy Crap.

Salt Water. I used to have a 1950 buick super that I tinkered with as a project car. Entire floor pan was rusted out like a Flintstone car when I got her. For some reason that memory popped into my head :)

Just had to look that one up. Took six long years to build and had to go through 12 hurricane like storms.
A true marvel of engineering. Thanks for posting, Wirecutter!
