I've seen that happen. Several year`s ago on top of Jelico mtn. on I-75 in Tennessee . That's a helluva feeling watching two chunk's of Granite the size of a Greyhound bus flying thru the air like a paper cup. One of them thunked down in the median crushing the center divider , the other one nailed a Schnieder Trans. about the trailer tandem. Nobody was injured , but , yes it is possible for a persons eyes to ' bug out of their head '.Oscar O.
