Dumbassery in action

Sent in by WiscoDave:
Authorities in Gainesville, Fla. have charged William Daniel Lloyd with discharging a firearm in public and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, after he reportedly tried to shoot a squirrel for dinner by taping a .40-caliber cartridge to the muzzle of a Pumpmaster 7670 BB gun. Lloyd, 31, was treated — and later released — for shrapnel wounds when the cartridge exploded. The condition of the targeted squirrel was not reported.

  1. Well, I'm thinking that squirrel need to be arrested for causing this "victim" to act in such a manner.

  3. Discharging a firearm? If he'd had that cartridge in a firearm he wouldn't have gotten hurt. I guess it would have made too much sense to have just shot the squirrel with the BB gun.
