I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police confirm a bounty hunter was shot Friday morning at the Arbors of Brentwood apartments in South Nashville.

Police say the bounty hunter was trying to pick up a man wanted for misdemeanor warrants. The man had a friend over at the time. Police say the wanted man’s friend shot the bounty hunter, whom he thought was a robber.

I could go on and on about how much I despise bounty hunters and the bullshit they pull.

  1. That is one thing Kentucky has gotten right. We banned bailbondsmen and bounty hunting. You pay your bond to a division of the courts and you get most of it back if you are not convicted, not like a bailbondsman who keeps that payment you make to him.

Bounty hunters are required to take their papers to a Kentucky judge who then orders the local LEO to make the arrest and to hold the person for extradition. None of this grabbing people in the middle of the night and taking them out of state in the trunk of a car.

  2. Good for Kentucky. In most States, the only restrictions bounty hunters have is being required to notify the local PD they're after somebody. After that they break into anybody's house that they suspect their target may be in without a warrant or anything.

  3. I was at the a hair cutting establishment one time waiting my turn. In the chair is a guy who is regaling the barber(female) with his exploits as a retired repo man. After he left and it was my turn the same barber started to tell me what great funny guy he was. I looked at her in the mirror and said "How did live this long 'cause if I had caught him repo'g my car he'd be dead". The rest of the hair cut continued in silence.

  4. ICE needs to use bounty hunters to round up illegals, including visa overstays. Then ICE admin can concentrate on detention and deportation.

  5. Yes, after I saw one show about this Bounty hunter Dog and his wife I asked myself why no gangster would call his seven plus friends, call Dog and tell him where he is and when Dog shows up show him the power of prepared fire positions and crossfire.
