I caught the first episode of "America - The Story Of Us" on the History channel last week and thought it wasn't too bad, even though they had The Obamessiah do the introduction on it. Hell, I consider myself a history buff and I actually learned a couple of things I didn't know.
Then I watched part of the second episode. I turned the motherfucker off when they had Sheryl Crow, Puff Diddy and Al Fucking Sharpton doing commentaries.
It was bad enough when they had the first two "celebrities" talking about our heritage (?) but when did Al Fucking Sharpton quit being a laughingstock and became a respected history scholar?
Give me a break.......
Sorry? For what? WTF?
ReplyDeleteJHC, Al Sharpton? Sheryl Crowe?
It gets worse. Bono, whose real name is Paul David Hewson (how the hell do you get "bono" out of that?) just had a meeting with the big BO to discuss aid to Africa. So maybe if I practice my singing with a studio to make me sound better than I truly am, I too can meet with the big BO and we can discuss why his wife can't pronounce words that begin with the letter "S". She turns them into "sh" words: smile = shmile.
My theory is it's because she's full of (sh)it.

The History Channel also aired "The People Speak", a Matt Damon communist-inspired piece of shit, a few months ago.
ReplyDeleteI was extremely suspect of "The Story of Us" as soon as it hit. I was flipping back and forth between that, Master and Commander, and Stargate (the movie, not the show) late last night.
Programming like this is immediately suspect to me if it is aired on stations like THC, Nat Geo, etc. It is a thinly clothed vehicle for leftist bullshit, plain and simple.
Thank God I work hard enough to keep my kids in a private school!
Amen, Brother. Amen.
ReplyDeleteI watched the first episode and noted that no reference was made to the british confiscating ALL the firearms in Boston prior to the massacre. No mention was made that the civil disobedience didn't turn to a shooting war until the british tried to march on Concord to take the cannons stored there.
ReplyDeleteI also noted that the firearms held by the colonists seemed to come from a central armory, when in fact most men showed up with their own firearms.
I can remember reading requirements published at the time where every man was to provide his owe musket, powder, and ball.
Didn't watch the 2nd. episode
Paul in Texas
I will always remember Sharpton as the liar behind the Twana Brawley case in Wappingers Falls, NY.
