OH yea, I remember. I was 28 in 1970, recently divorced and horny as a two-peckered billy goat.
I had me some "Fine hangin vines" baby.
Polyester flares and huge Levi bells for casual wear, platform, red and blue shoes, multi-color paisley shirts with collars as wide as Michelle Obama's ass, custom designed, Silver buckle cow hide belts and expensive styled hair.
The local meat market came alive around 10 PM on a Friday. Lots of pre disco music. Heavy metal music to accompany a bong sucking session. Procol Harum, Jefferson Airplane, Moody Blues, Chicago, Pink Floyd etc.
Weed was every where and the babes would drop their drawers faster than you could say: "I can dig it man"!
Wow! A leisure suit and sideburns! How cool could it have gotten? Yeah, I too was a member of the jeans and boots club.Or sneakers of one sort or another. Jeans? My favorites were Sedgefield jeans. Alas no longer available. Heavy duty an made to last. Maybe that's what happened to them.
lol, that is the first time i have ever read your comment info thing. awesome. Just think how skinny jeans and forward combed hair will look in 20 years?
Is that what 70's looked like? I missed them. My hair was short and I was living in the land of bad things wearing camo and a boonies hat. Did'nt make it back until the very late 70's,,

ReplyDeletePhotographic evidence is a bitch.
Yours in solidarity, (kidding)

Gotta love the mutton chops. I think I may have a couple of pictures like that laying around here somewhere. I hope not.
ReplyDeleteI must confess (heh heh) that I attempted this look. I saw myself in the mirror, and went back to jeans and sneakers.
ReplyDeleteAsk me about the 80's however .....
Yep. T-shirts, 501's and tennis shoes here. Still dressing that way. Anyone that dressed like that guy in the pic was considered a retard.
ReplyDeleteWhy does the flat-chested girl on the left have a bulge in her pants?
ReplyDeletekenny
ReplyDeletewhat are you reading in the picture?
Dude on the right looks like a young Unknown Hinson.
ReplyDeleteAlways been 501's for me too. These guys are doing a good "Festrunk Brothers" imitation. (two wild and crazy guys)
Look like the type of people I did my best to avoid.....
ReplyDeleteGeez...that guy on the right looks like he should be selling used cars!
Let's see, I was 10 and wearing Catholic school uniforms.

But in those days the blow was pure.
ReplyDeleteEvery chick had a purse of good shit.
Do some, do it, let down easy.
Sleep like a baby.
Loved the 70's.
