UK - most schools re-started on Monday 3rd September; the first Christmas goods were on the shelves by Tuesday 4th...... much to the joy of parents still paying off last years gifts... Back in the Jurassic, the shops I remember would not have dared put Christmas stuff on show until December 1st.
Selous, Actually, they (the good people of Sears) were using them to build "corrals" around the fake Christmas trees. I guess they wanted to prevent stampedes.
