This picture struck me as soon as I saw it. He's happy that he has a new pair of shoes, and today's kids have closets full of $100+ sneakers, they have the latest cell phones and everything else that Daddy can (and will) buy them.
No doubt that the kid in the photo worked his ass off later in life for everything that he had and valued it because it came from the sweat of his brow, whereas today's kids hold nothing dear because it was given to them.
Is there any wonder why America is in a decline?
