MODESTO (CBS13) – The Modesto Police Department said they arrested two gang members who were allegedly in possession of illegal firearms.

The department said its street gang unit approached the group and discovered the illegal firearms were ghost guns, which have no serial numbers. FROM HERE
I had a friend whose father-in-law made a 1911 from scratch. It had no serial number. When he passed my friend inherited it. He called me because I am a "gun guy". We talked to BATF and they said it is legal to own but may not be sold. He still has it and the e-mail from BATF.
I live in a free state, but I'm putting made-up serial numbers on my the "ghost guns". I want serial numbers I can give the police if the guns are ever stolen.
Good to know I am going to try my hand a little later on. I am trying to by the family house right now. But I am keep all the tools so I can have a new hobby.

ReplyDeleteIt doesn't have be be a number or on the outside of the lower. Just put a unique identifying mark inside somehow.
