California Now Offering Support To Undocumented Immigrants, First Relief Fund Of Its Kind

(CNN) — Starting today, undocumented immigrants in California can begin applying for financial assistance to support them during the coronavirus pandemic — in the first relief fund of its kind.

Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the $125 million coronavirus disaster relief fund last month to support undocumented immigrants who were ineligible for federal stimulus checks and unemployment benefits due to their immigration status.

It’s the first state funding effort directed at helping undocumented immigrants as the coronavirus pandemic causes financial hardships and spurs unemployment across the nation.

“Every Californian, including our undocumented neighbors and friends, should know that California is here to support them during this crisis,” Newsom said in a statement in April. “We are all in this together.”

  1. Federal aid to California should be reduced by at least whatever amount California gives to illegals. Taxpayers in the rest of the country should not be subsidizing California's fetish for illegals.

    1. I disagree, sort of.

If California wants to give money to illegal aliens, they can. But two things need to happen if they do:

      1) Those in the California Legislature voting in favor of funding illegal aliens need to be arrested for the crime of encouraging an illegal alien to remain in the country. In a rare UNANIMOUS decision the US Supreme Court recently upheld that encouraging illegal aliens to stay in the country is a crime.

      2) California should receive no COVID-19 related emergency funding to insure that taxpayers from other states are not supporting California's financial malfeasance as related to harboring illegal aliens.

    1. That would be a very tall order. Castro Jr has even applauded BC's plan of having vending machines for a heroin alternative; plus all the illegal immigrants to this country were not even slowed down due to COVID; gave away millions to African countries to BUILD THE VERY KIND OF PIPELINES HE OPPOSES IN CANADA; never said a word about the Chinese research scientist that was escorted out of the virus lab in Winnipeg last July by the RCMP (oh right CBC says it was okay).... shall I go on?
Topping what our commie PM has been doing would take weapons-grade stupidity or an fucking act of God

  5. Hows come the CA government can find the illegals to give them tax money, but can't find them to deport 'em?

    1. because deporting them is not in the states job description and giving away taxpayer monies and throwing it's US citizens money certainly is.

    2. If illegals can't "support themselves", why don't they go home?

      Because they ALL __VOTE__ democrat.

  6. Send them back where they came from, but stop this stupid-ass encouragement by giving them taxpayer money. The Fedgov should cut off all funding of CA until they roll back those damn "sanctuary city" bullshit.
