Manners count

LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a man who was caught on surveillance video attacking another customer at a liquor store in Lakeland, Florida.

The alleged attack happened at the Publix Liquor store around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to deputies, the attack stemmed from the suspect getting upset that the victim didn’t thank him for holding the door open. The victim, who is seen in video released by the sheriff’s office wearing a tan-colored hat, told deputies he walked into the liquor store while the suspect held the door open.

  1. Ahh, Pasco county. Another fine county in the Tampa Bay area. So glad I don't live in that area anymore.

    2. Not Pasco--this was over in Lakeland, my former occasional stomping grounds. Polk county.

  2. I live next door in Hillsborough county (Tampa.) There have been many a time when I have wished that Grady Judd was my sheriff instead of the losers we usually end up with. I salute this guy. I only wish all sheriffs were REAL sheriffs like Judd who actually honor and obey the Constitution and who diligently work to reduce actual crimes in their counties instead of just playing rent-a-cop games to suppress the rights of law abiding folks.

  3. I usually finish the door opening with "You're welcome, bitch.". PC I am not. Of course, I'll give them the required three second grace time.
