Police - Why Do They Continue To Violate Their Oath Of Office?

I have written and rewritten this article many times over the past two weeks. While one side of me wants to support our local and state police the other side wants to point out the many violations of their Oath’s of Office. With that written I will jump in headfirst and accept the slings and arrows thrown at me.

The above Oath of Office is standard across the 50-states and local police forces for the most part. You can also find them in your states Constitution. I did a DuckDuckGo search for the California Highway Patrol this morning because of Governor Newsom’s order of closing Orange County beaches to the public. Please notice, only Orange County beaches.

  2. Politicians and cops have certain qualities in common that make them want to go into their chosen professions. One is their need to control. Not just to control their own behavior and conduct but to control others using their interpretation of standing laws. I call them control-freaks. We see them in governmental positions from elected officials to salaried bureaucrats. They've existed as long as humans have walked on two-feet and will always exist as long as humans retain the unique ability to dominate over their environment.

  3. I'm lucky enough to live in a county (Riverside, CA) where the Sheriff understands citizen's rights under the Constitution and has announced there will be no enforcement by him and his deputies of all the restrictions. Bless Sheriff Bianco for being a guardian rather than a weasel!

  4. Aren't ex post facto laws and bills of attainder expressly forbidden in the US constitution? Why, I think they are!

    1. Correct, and the political leaders know this and use it as coercion
