  1. I've read a lot of stories about old west bad dudes. This guy ranks right up there with the baddest of the bad.

  2. My father sent me his biography when he was living in Utah. The book's title is Man of God / Son of Thunder by Harold Schindler. He was a vary interesting character, a tough , frontier -coarsened fanatic for the cause (San Francisco Chronicle).

    1. Thanks for the tip. I just picked up a copy on eBay.
Seems like all the copies available are from sellers in Utah.

  3. Give "A Serpent's Tooth" a read. It's a Walt Longmire novel that features a man who believes himself to be Orrin Porter Rockwell. The author, Craig Johnson, puts some great lines in this character's mouth.
