FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Vowing not to back down after armed protesters gathered near his home and hung him in effigy, the governor of Kentucky on Tuesday condemned their use of “fear and terror” in a demonstration fueled by coronavirus restrictions.
Gov. Andy Beshear referred to the protesters as a mob in sharply condemning the weekend rally that spread to the Governor's Mansion, where his children play. And the Democratic governor bluntly accused some Kentucky politicians of culpability for attending a previous rally.
“Let’s start by calling it what it was and what it is — actions aimed at creating fear and terror," Beshear said of Sunday's rally. “Crossing over barriers, standing on the other side of the glass from where I raise my kids and hanging me in an effigy, that’s an action intended to use fear to get their way."

Funny how when a protest like that is called "terrorism" but burning down Minneapolis is a "protest".
ReplyDeleteNow he knows how Tucker Carlson felt when "Protesters" tried to break down his door. I live in Canada so Kentucky is really not on my radar, however if he is in the same league as Mistress Gretchen and Mario Cuomo's son then I can imagine why there might be protests.
ReplyDeleteAw, he learned some sign language. Isn’t that cute? Bless his heart. Oh, and Gov., you might want to consider your tyrannical actions brought about those resulting actions of “fear and terror.”
ReplyDeleteAnd what do you call it when we are threatened with violence by the powers that be for not kowtowing to their unconstitutional dictates?
ReplyDeleteThe kids call it the boogaloo these days.
DeleteStupid fucker indeed. I wonder if he thought that the early American patriots were engaging in a campaign of "fear and terror" when they hung King Gordie III in effigy. It's this kind of shit that results in revolution. If the "representatives" of the people don't represent them, and instead treat their peaceful, direct and courteous petition for the redress of grievances, with such contempt... well, the people start to adopt more direct methods. If this stupid fucker doesn't get his head out of his ass right quick, his little children are going to see something a hell of a lot more horrifying than paper and plaster burning. I don't want to have to explain to my six year old daughter why "the guy in the nice suit on TV is on fire, and all the people won't put him out."

Yup. Threatening to send swat teams into the homes of otherwise law abiding and peaceful citizens, which everyone knows often leads to summary executions of anyone who dares resist, is perfectly reasonable to this self-righteous authoritarian. But how dare anyone threaten him in his home. FYI it was an effigy of him not his family.
ReplyDeleteBeshear might want to listen to his constituents. I don't see much of a future for him if he doesn't.
ReplyDeleteat this point .... BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. And you're making it necessary fucker
