Suddenly Nashville becomes a ghost town

Nashville Mayor John Cooper wants to raise property taxes by as much as 32 percent, and he said the recent tornadoes and the COVID-19 pandemic give him no other choice.

Cooper formally unveiled his $2.447 billion budget for fiscal year 2021 Tuesday. He did this during a live video conference with Metro Council members, according to a press release.

  2. Talk about kicking people when they're down. He's trying to drain more money from people during an economic disaster which will make it harder for everyone to recover.

    Lemme axe a question: Did Nashville improve their services to the community by 32%?
    Hmmmmmmmm?
    Maybe they should consider reducing their overhead. It's called Belt-Tightening in hard times!!
