Some years ago a company said its IR product could "spot camouflaged snipers out to 500 yard." The Marines invited him to Quantico to demonstrate the produce. The company "surprised" the Marines by bringing along the Congresscritter that represented their district. The Marines were unimpressed. Oh, the scope DID spot 2 snipers ... but missed at least 5 or 6 others. Including the one that tapped the congresscritter on the shoulder. Jumped 3 feet into the air.
I got one years ago to use in the Wood Duck swamp. Nothing like sitting amongst 100 + Woodies going about their business. Then jumping up with a 12ga. Works on geese in a corn field too.
How not to be seen. Mr Jenkins, would you please stand up...

They taught me, but I was never that good.
