I have had a relative shoot themselves in the head, while deer hunting. He had been going through a rough patch. Yet I still can see the gallows humor in some of the posts, like in #3. But the issue is, just like the snowflakes who get mad when I don't wear a mask into a store, it is a free country, and it is both Wirecutter's right to post what amuses him, and my right to not listen to the governor of my state, Michigan, as if she was my divine ruler. If someone gets mad at that, sorry.
Sister-in-law hung herself after several other suicide attempts. Someone rescued her before she could jump off a high bridge. Her parents found her after she OD'd on a fruit salad of pills. Try and get mental health help for a loved one in this country. It ain't happening. The hospital didn't even keep her overnight, but sent her home to try again.
My brother was a 2 day flight away, working in the South Pacific on an abandoned military base doing environmental cleanup. Cops still tried to pin her suicide on him, somehow. Apparently, if she told him she was going to kill herself, and he said, "Go ahead.", the cops would have charged him with her murder.

And how many of you will comment/complain when you see a post on hanging tyrants? Life is harsh. So is death. Humor can be an expression of both. Get a grip.
