Except here in Md. They’ve been replacing the ramped edge things with blunt ends. About 15yrs ago I parked an Accura sideways on a guardrail due to sliding sideways off the road in a snowstorm. The rail was right in front of the rear tires, leaving the front tires on the ground.
Every time I see one of those new ‘blunt end’ guardrail I think about being dead instead of just having had a long step down to the road shoulder...

Somebody missed their Ausfarht. Usually accidents on the autobahn end up with the car flat as a pancake.
