George Floyd's death in police custody is renewing criticism of Sen. Amy Klobuchar's (D-Minn.) prosecutorial record.
Before she became a senator and a top contender for former Vice President Joe Biden's vice presidential spot, Klobuchar spent eight years as the Hennepin County attorney, in charge of prosecution for Minneapolis. And while in that position, Klobuchar declined to prosecute multiple police officers cited for excessive force, and did not prosecute the officer who kneeled on Floyd's neck as he protested, The Guardian reports.

99.99999% of police officers, district attorneys and attorney's general make the rest look bad. So the MN Ag's office FINALLY broke down and arrested this POS. Will wonders never cease. If that had been a regular citizen, the citizen would have been arrested AND CHARGED immediately. Next question is WHEN are the other (3,4,?) officers that were present and witnessed this egregious crime AND STOOD IDLY BY going to be charged as accessories, at minimum, and possibly with manslaughter?
ReplyDeleteQualified immunity and prosecutorial discretion, as it relates to police officers, needs end. It's a fooking joke and is totally out of hand.

I'm sure you guys, like me, figure Hitliary will give it one last go. She'll step in at the last minute, either as Biden's running mate, or instead of him. In any case, by end of January '21 she'll wind us as pres if Trump loses. Which is why we absolutely, positively, CANNOT let THAT happen!
