Alcohol kills that virus, ya know

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (AP) — A festival that shows off one of Kentucky’s iconic products is being postponed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Officials said the Kentucky Bourbon Festival was pushed back a month and is now scheduled for Oct. 15 to 18 in Bardstown.

  1. It nips the bacterial colonies that would cause pneumonia right in the bud. People who took a shot of whiskey a day tended to survive the Spanish Flu, even in the worst hit areas. Breath Alcohol Content for the win!

  2. I'm not a bourbon drinker, but I do know the weather in October in Bardstown is a whole lot nicer than in the summer, drunk or not.

  3. They make Jim Beam there too. If you're ever around Bardstown be sure to visit Bernheim Forest, just down the road. They grow an incredible number of species. I recall visiting on a school field trip.
