In the latest move to change place names in light of U.S. racial history, leaders of Orange County’s Democratic Party are pushing to drop film legend John Wayne’s name, statue and other likenesses from the county’s airport because of his racist and bigoted comments.
The Los Angeles Times reported that earlier this week, officials passed an emergency resolution condemning Wayne’s “racist and bigoted statements” made in a 1971 interview and are calling on the Orange County Board of Supervisors to drop his name, statue and other likenesses from the international airport.

Well he wasn't wrong.
ReplyDeleteThe John Wayne bronze statue at Orange County Airport was created at the Hoka-Hey western bronze foundry in Dublin Texas using the "lost wax" investment casting technique and is a great work of western art on a par with the works of Frederick Remington. If they don't want or deserve it any more out in commifornia I for one would like to see it back in Texas. The Amon Carter Museum would be a great place for it.
ReplyDeleteHow about right smack dab in front of The Alamo?
DeleteKnowing these antifa fucks, they'll irreparably damage it.
I hope when Trump wins on November 3rd, these antifa fucks go wild. Then Trump, like George Washington during the Whiskey Rebellion, can lead the Army and CRUSH these miserable excuses for American citizens. I'll gladly volunteer to police up the bodies afterwards so that I can put their heads on pikes for all to see what happens to looters and arsonists when the local .gov chooses not to intervene on behalf of their constituency.
George Floyd must be shaking his head in dismay at action taken supposedly in his name.

In my front yard (in Texas) works for me!
DeleteThe truth is the truth. I am ASHAMED that Texans (Their own country) are more American than Californias (also their own country). BUT BUT BUT - THEY ARE for the majority. I have little to wonder that all the disgusted AMERICANS who are moving to TEJAS from other states will have a most unpleasant awakening in that state. If there was one thing I could change about Texas it would be this: NOTHING.
DeleteGuess its time to play their game. Let's go through the history of every person they even remotely like. I'm sure Margaret Sanger has said some things they disapprove of. Time to shut down Planned Parenthood in the name of anti-racism.
ReplyDeleteYep. And impeach Justice Ginsburg, who said Roe v Wade was supposed to end the births of the people "we don't want." Liberals deny she said that, but her remarks are on a CBS News video. Or were. The video might have committed suicide by now.
DeleteOh, yes, she sure did. And FDR and LBJ. It ain't hard to judge by the standards of a different time. Shaka Zulu, a genocidal dictator and slaver.
DeleteMargaret Sanger founded planned parenthood in hopes of stopping black folks from reproducing, she was very racist but they don't care because they do not want to learn or stop racisism they want all to bow down and give them what they want...
ReplyDeleteJohn Nolte has an article on this over at Breitbart:
ReplyDeletehttps://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2020/06/30/nolte-the-dukes-son-says-john-wayne-was-not-a-racist/
The man spoke it as he saw it.
ReplyDeleteEric.
The Truth Hurts. As is evident by there reactions when spoken.
ReplyDeleteSpeak more.
As for this statue thing...ok.
It aint a oneway street you CHOADS, bet they never thought about that.
Demographics is destiny. I lived and worked in OC from 1967 until 2002. It was a bastion of true Conservative, free-market people. But, it slowly but surely turned Latin. And when Loretta Sanchez, the Mexican Marxist beat B-1 Bob Dornan, it was the death knell for the Anglos. Add to that the infiltration of white liberals and other self-serving political hacks and here we are. I saw it all take place from my position as a 30+ year Peace Officer. My tribe and I left SoCal before we had to shoot our way out. We have never looked back.
ReplyDeleteJohn Wayne Airport in in my neck of the woods. The Orange County Sheriff call their helicopters "Duke" in his honor. Interesting to see how the politics work out. We are not LA County
ReplyDeleteRacism isn't anything to be ashamed of. If you admire ambition from your fellow man, then let it be known. And at the same time if abore slothiness from others, let them know by withholding any admiration. Simple.
ReplyDeleteCan we do away with all the MLK Boulevards and just rename them 'Mugger Street'?
ReplyDeleteThis simply demonstrates what a pussy-fied society we live in. Millennial's can't accept anything before their generation. History? What's that? They are totally living in "the now" and nothing that came before them matters. John Wayne was a Hollywood icon, but in the end he was just an actor. He wasn't afraid to express his opinions, and he didn't care if you agreed with him or not. THAT'S not a reason to think less of him, or change things named after him. I'm sick to death of all these persons and companies bowing down to BLM and taking a knee to the anthem. Nobody asked the rest of us, and we rule, so fuck off!
