German bomb experts to defuse WWII-era bomb in Frankfurt

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -- German police and firefighters are clearing a section of Frankfurt around the convention center to defuse a World War II-era bomb that was discovered during construction work.

When I was stationed in Heilbronn back in the late 70s/early 80s, there were 2 instances of bombs being found during construction. One was a major inconvenience for me - it was found on a payday weekend a block from my favorite bar. Fuck the US Army Air Corps.

    i was stationed in Frankfurt from 1978-1981 I am going to see if I can find out where it is.

    Dead in the middle of Frankfurt far away from where i was.
