"I'm stationed at Ft Hillary Clinton"

(CNN) - There is a chance Army installations named after Confederate military commanders could undergo a name change.

Army officials say U.S. Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy and Secretary of Defense Mark Esper are open to holding a “bipartisan conversation” about renaming nearly a dozen major bases and installations that bear the names of those associated with the Confederacy.

Luckily, President Trump shot that shit down:

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Wednesday said his administration will “not even consider” changing the name of any of the 10 Army bases that are named for Confederate Army officers. Two days earlier, Defense Secretary Mark Esper indicated that he was open to a broad discussion of such changes.

  1. It is well past time to "retire" the corrupt Military leadership that was installed during the obama regime.

    1. You assume there is anyone who isn't corrupt to replace them. FREE CLUE: obama was 3 years ago. Most military officers have already been reassigned since then. All of the most senior ones have retired and been replaced by younger ones.

    2. Actually, according to the article below, these retired and active duty generals ( I use the smal g to indicate how much respect I have for them) are subject to recall to active duty and UCMJ court marshal for disparaging the President in public.

I, for one, would love to see that happen to these simpering pussies.

Whatever happened to smile, shut up, suck it up and drive on?

  3. Further corruption of anything associated with the FUSA. They are trying to burn the rubble into the ground.
The first step to subjugate the people is to destroy their identity by erasing their history.
It doesn't seem odd that anything and everything from our past is considered racist (Christopher fucking Columbus???!!!) The first spic that landed in Florida has to go because someone somewhere way back when had a house nigger?
Dude, if you haven't figured out yet that this WHOLE THING is nothing but a giant game, you ain't paying attention!

    1. Columbus was Italian, not Hispanic; therefore, that would be WOP, not “spic”. Keep your slurs accurate

  4. At least the Army doesn't have the equivalent of the U.S.S. Gabriel Giffords or the U.S.S.Harvey Milk.

  5. Obama's Military Coup Purges 197 Officers In Five Years, What the president calls "my military" is being cleansed of any officer suspected of disloyalty to or disagreement with the administration on matters of policy or force structure, leaving the compliant and fearful.

    1. I believe some guy named Adolph used similar techniques.

    2. There were no purges. The active army had 500,000 men and over 400 generals during the obama administration. 197 retirements over 8 years is well within normal churn. I seriously doubt anyone in the obama administration knows 197 military officers that they would prefer.

  6. Wait a minute guys: There is an upside.

You cannot name a base after somebody while they are still alive.

Do you suppose the causality works in reverse? It might be worth it.

  8. When I was stationed at Pope AFB (adjacent to Ft. Bragg) I always wondered why were there so many forts, streets, etc named after the Confederates so a little research I found that they where mostly all pardoned by Pres. Johnson, Lincolns successor. They became American soldiers again, deserving all rights and privileges again.
