Judge Issues Order Halting Lee Statue Removal for 10 Days

RICHMOND, Virginia (AP) — A judge in Richmond has issued an injunction preventing Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam’s administration from removing an iconic statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee for 10 days.

The temporary injunction order issued Monday says the state is a party to a deed recorded in March 1890 in which it accepted the statue, pedestal and ground they sit on and agreed to “faithfully guard” and “affectionately protect” them.

They defaced the fcking Lincoln Memorial. The guy that FREED the damned slaves...
They're not political protesters. They're agitators and subversives. They should hang from the lamp posts.

  2. I am sooooooo glad I moved the fuck outta that state. Definitely turned communist. Good riddance. My governor never “locked” our state.

  3. Surely statues and monuments to generals Grant, Sherman, Sheridan, Custer and others cause harm to American Indian psyches. Every state legislature should order colleges, universities and non-profits to end any and all scholarships provided in trusts established by former slave owners. There is a multitude of equal applications, but none has the right focus of protests. Not yet, anyway.

  4. Riverride, nothing will happen to any of these folks, (home grown ISIS), (nothing needs too). Our side is to afraid to loose our comfortable life. I know I am! In the end All of this is Of Man, none of it matters to your salvation. The Long Game.
If we return, as a country, or a state, or a village, or let’s start with a community, to Godly principals the left will have no power over us. I just saw a similar comment on AP.

  5. just like the police stood by in durham NC and watched a monument to confederate war dead be torn down and stomped. charges were dropped against the clearly identified perps. no prosecutions.

and I think the liberals in Chapel Hill NC are STILL squabbling about ownership of the statue there (silent Sam?). just a half hour away a little town south of there had a monument removed that stood for the war dead.

so it goes in VA. and in TN.

there is an orgy of white guilt in the media right now. I am sickened by it. blm is the American Taliban, using violence and tearing down history.

meanwhile MLK statues and mosques remain untouched. I wonder why.

  6. The lesson to learn here is: if you go to war, don't loose.

The so called "United States" aren't. The southern states will never be accepted by Yankees or carpetbaggers. Ever. No matter what. The sins of the father's (as considered by the Victors) can never be absolved and will for ever be weilded as a club against the south.

The destruction of monuments to men better than us is only the latest atrocity.

War is coming again. Remember the lesson of the last one.

  8. This is the evil of totalitarianism cloaked as justice VS. American Core Values. These Marxists only want destruction and submission all the way to your kitchen table. Remember the "Kitchen Table Democrats"....well they are finally showing up.

  9. Since the Commonwealth broke the agreed contract, demand the land and statue back that was presented to the Commonwealth. Also IIRC Congress pass a law that made all dead Confederate soldiers US Veterans. So now these "protesters" (and I use that term loosely) are demanding US Military Veterans monuments to be moved to please their hurt feelings on something none of them ever were (slaves) and they are racist but they will never admit it. And now to really tee them off: I OWE YOU NOTHING BECAUSE OF THE PAST! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR LIFE AS I AM. YOU MAKE YOUR CHOICES (GOOD OR BAD) AND LIVE WITH THEM.

  10. And just as with some of the other monuments they defaced or damaged, they do not know or care about the history.
Some (many?) of these monuments were erected during reconstruction and were part of the various attempts to heal the divide and old wounds.
It is part of our history and not all of our history is or belongs in museums.

  11. These rampaging Millennial's have no respect for history, because they didn't "experience" it, so it means nothing to them. "History" to them is just other people's "opinions". All of them should have had some discipline growing up.
