Starbucks is adding plant-based meat to its U.S. menu for the first time.
The Seattle coffee chain said Tuesday that a breakfast sandwich made with imitation sausage from Redwood City, California-based Impossible Foods is now available at a majority of its U.S. restaurants. The sandwich comes with egg and cheese and is served on a ciabatta bun.

If you don't want to eat meat, then why eat crap that tastes like meat.
ReplyDeleteThey might as well sell fake meat. They've been selling fake coffee for years.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! True.
DeleteAnd for the authentic Starbuck's experience, they need to burn this fake meat to match the burnt-tasting coffee.
Maybe it should be called "Meat-based Plant"
ReplyDeleteWe like to eat close to the root, as we say, the fewer ingredients the better. Most fake meats contain soy isolate, a product many blame for the low testosterone levels men generally suffer from today. Not to mention that much of the soy isolate we consume is from China. We prefer not to source our food from China.

DeleteWhich fits in perfectly with the Left's plans. Men with testosterone are much more difficult to control than are narrow shouldered Soy Boys with tiny nut sacks.
They call them soy boi's for a reason. No soy allowed in our place. Plant or gender. We do however grow beans on our family farm. I'll have to flagellate myself with guilt for our contribution to the decline.

In my opinion, grain fed beef is plant based. Now about that egg and cheese...
ReplyDelete"I may not be a vegetarian but I eat them. And they're delicious!"
DeleteTwo fake-meat patties and an egg on a chlamydia bun? No, thanks.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine anything more processed than plant-based meat? You can bet devotees of this stuff will rail against something as innocuous as Cheerios because it's not natural.
ReplyDeleteBurger king sells "impossible burgers" which are plant, not meat. They were 2 for $5 the other day so I picked up a couple, not knowing why they were "impossible", They actually tasted good. Fooled both my wife and me, but we have no desire to repeat the experience.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've had them before and other vegie burgers, they aren't that bad really. Now it they would market them as what they are and not what they try to be I think they would be more popular
DeleteI wont try it , soy makes me sick as a dog . All of the "plant based meat substitute " is loaded with soy , I'd be sick for a week if i made the mistake of eating one . I wont eat at burger king because of their impossible burgers ,i dont care for cross contamination
ReplyDeleteAmen, I suffer the same allergy. Soy is everywhere.
DeleteBut are they halal ? Asking for a goat fucker.
ReplyDeleteJust call it pseudo meat.
