School will be a very different place next year. Classes will be less full. Desks will be rigorously sterilized. And, if the education establishment has its way, teachers will be aggressively “woke.”
“We are living at a time of obscene inequities and merely trying to compensate is not enough,” the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) recently announced. “Equity is more than making things more accessible and AASA’s work on equity must go further and become actively anti-racist. . . . Leading a system-wide effort requires that we ensure that cultural responsiveness permeates all levels of the district.”

What happened to just teaching kids reading, writing, and arithmetic?
ReplyDeleteThe other thing is how are fewer students going to be in classrooms? Are they really going to rotate days at school?! I can't see anything bad happening from that! I guess the gangs can recruit them even younger!
In answer to your rhetorical question:
DeleteWhat happened was the radical students in the '60s, who encouraged everybody else to drop out and get their heads knocked in the streets, stayed in school and became schoolteachers themselves. Anybody coming of age in the '70s or later was inundated with leftist propaganda disguised as education.
That's what happened.
Coming soon to a city or town near you: build more skools/hire more teechers.
DeleteFor fucks sake, 65% of my property tax goes for the school system and their never ending long term bond borrowing.
My mother was a tutor (for some reason they did not use "teacher") on a very large ranch 85 years ago. For families who lived too far to commute, there were dorms for their kids and they would go home on weekends. At harvest time the kids would help when/where they were needed, but that did not get in the way of their getting a pretty darn good education. All paid for by the ranch owner and no interference from the state. Kids did not have to enroll if the parents chose not to do so and no one made a big stink about it. It was free, come if you want, don't if you don't want to. How things have changed.
Thank God my children are out of their control.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is why I'm moving 2,800 miles to help home school my grandkids.
ReplyDeleteThey'll just end up like the Atlanta school system with teachers and administrators being prosectued for changing test results for poorly educated students (and know that they were poorly educated by their educators).
ReplyDeleteOne time we went in for parent/teacher conference and the English teacher could not even use proper grammar. Kind of like a doctor not knowing how to properly use a stethescope. After we got in the car I shook my head so damn hard the marbles started to rattle around.
DeleteI don't want to say where, but in my kids school district, this nonsense isn't a problem.
ReplyDeleteI really feel badly for parents today and actually for parents for the last 20 years or so. The examples of indoctrinated young people are evident in the news every day lately.
ReplyDeleteNemo
They're no longer trying to hide it: "...merely trying to compensate is not enough." They won't be happy until they've enslaved all non-blacks.
ReplyDelete"Classes will be less full." Bullshit. We've been hearing blather about the overcrowded classrooms in lib-run public schools forever, but nothing has ever been done about it. They ain't gonna suddenly start fixing things now.
ReplyDeleteFuck that....they'll wind up with only black students, who are already fed this bullshit at home....
ReplyDeleteWonder how the property owners will react, to the next millage request?
ReplyDeleteIf it withers on the vine, it cannot be all that woke. Or, if it is, who cares?
"If a liberal rants in a classroom, and no body is there to hear it, does s/he even make any noise at all?"
Clean desks. Sanitize everything EXCEPT they will still continue "teaching " filth like the homosexual and deviance agenda to grind us down.
ReplyDeleteAs well as victim mentality.
