RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam is expected to announce plans Thursday to remove one of the country’s most iconic monuments to the Confederacy, a statue of Gen. Robert E. Lee along Richmond’s prominent Monument Avenue, a senior administration official told The Associated Press.

Will all the MLK streets be renamed because of the rioters? It makes as much sense.

and on and on...but it sounds better to make street signs than license plates, so maybe this can be an uplifting make-work program!
Ralph "Coonman Blackface Northam" is a stain on the Commonwealth of Virginia. George Washington, Patrick Henry, and Thomas Jefferson Weep.
ReplyDeleteThat makes me sick. I would expect no less from this lying sack of pus, what a GD hypocrite.

Yup. Nothing like destroying the monuments to dead Dems that represent the war fought over slavery. How can anyone argue anymore that Republicans put it all on the line to end the institution of slavery if evidence of the war doesn't even exist where people can see it in their daily routines?
DeleteConsidering the lack of history taught in schools today, those statues and monuments count for even more - not just the military history associated with the individuals or groups they represent.
Destroying history is how dirt bags like Howard Zinn end up writing text books!
Your post does show the lack of history being taught today. The war was started when Lincoln invaded the Southern nation. The progressive, big government Republicans put it all on the line to keep the wealth of the South flowing into Yankee tax coffers. You do realize that the Republican party of the time was filled with German communists that had fled Europe after the failed revolutions of 1848 and that Lincoln received letters of praise from Karl Marx?
DeleteNo, it has to be that the Dems are the real racists. The Democrat party actually stood for America up until the late 1890's and joined the big government, big war Republicans with the election of the progressive Wilson. For the last 120 years we have had two progressive, big war, big government parties preying upon us.
Point is, about the only history being taught in schools is along the lines of the Chicago 7, Cesar Chavez, and social justice. You know, the important stuff.
DeleteMaking sense is not part of this equation.
ReplyDeleteYep and the remainder of the monuments will be next. Then the name change to Barak Blvd.

ReplyDeleteThey are coming for you next white boy the monuments are just a step in the walk towards your destruction...
ReplyDeleteNothing should go there in its place, nothing! What ever they put up will be offensive to me!
ReplyDeleteNortham isn't half the Virginian nor a tenth the man that Gen. Lee was. Say what you will about the politics of the conflict, Led was praised as a warrior, scholar, and gentleman by his adversaries and opponents. That should say it all.
ReplyDeleteGov. Blackface is trying VERY hard for the 2024 Dem. nomination. I strongly suspect he'll be retiring out of the commonwealth.
ReplyDeleteIf this won't get the South to rise again, I don't think even Viagra will help.
