Walmart to stop locking 'multicultural hair and beauty products' in cases after customers complain it sends a 'we don't trust you' message to black people

Walmart announced Wednesday that the company will no longer lock multicultural hair and beauty products in cases in at least a dozen of its stores as Sephora promises to reserve 15 per cent of shelf space to black-owned brands.

CBS reporter, Tori Mason, was the first to learn of the new policy after a Walmart spokesperson sent her a statement.

Mason had previously shared a video from a black woman who noted that only the multicultural hair products were locked inside a case at Walmart.

  2. No shit sherlock, multiculturals are the ones stealing them. White girls don't want to put that shit in their hair unless they is coal burners and we don't want them back any way.

    1. Or - as they say in retail management: that product has excessive ‘shrink’.

  4. Worked in Walmart. The diversity hair products, condoms, pregnancy tests were all locked up. Before that more were stolen than sold. Empty boxes and the inventory was always off

  5. I'll bet old Sam is turning over in his grave, seeing what has happened to his company and how much money they waste on programs just to look good in the eyes of people who don't give a flying fuck about ethics and morals.

  6. When the losses get high enough they will no longer stock it. The products will still be available on-line only.

  7. It was locked up for a reason. What a bunch of dipshits. I reckon we'll have to shoot our way out of this after all.

  8. Better double the stockage then. I suppose they will eliminate store security also, so they won't offend anyone.

  9. I predict this test of "social justice" won't go well for Walmart. I'd like to be wrong. I hope I'm wrong. Will there be national coverage if their experiment fails?

  13. So when the store loses thousands of dollars due to "shrinkage" (stealing), will they stop carrying products they loose money on? What will the response to that be?

  14. At a 215% markup to account for projected shrinkage.

  15. The business of business is to make money. So what Wally World doesn't make money on every product. So what if they even lose money on some products. The proper response to a price hike on all other products. The bonus is they get the diversity in the store. They'll just charge more on the watermelon and Gatorade.

  16. They'll find a way to pass the cost of the losses on to us white folks...like a 200% markup on tanning lotion and workboots.

  17. Maybe they should remove the anti-theft cameras also to show their trust.

  18. Walmart doesn't trust anybody - neither their customers nor their employees. Walmart locks up stuff white people buy, too.

  19. It'll all get swiped , eventually , and not restocked , no profit in that product line , goodbye ! Get woke go broke !

  20. Good. Walmart has laid waste to thousands of small-town family businesses over the years, let 'em take it good and hard.

  22. Case in point: When crimes in a given area are 90% committed by black Americans between the age of 18 and 25, then looking for suspects that resemble that age group and ethnicity is not racial profiling, it is using the law of averages....therefore, we lock up the products intended for "minorities"....

  23. 13% of the population, causing 90% of the crime. And Walmart still panders to them, so far as I'm concerned they can fuck off, they deserve whatever the Amish dish out.

  24. Mebbe Wal Mart will stock all their stores with the same amount of "targeted" products, and restock them just a rapidly. "Mrs. Smith, we're out of your hair color? Oh, I'm sorry! We got our shipment 2 days ago, and for some reason it's all sold out! We ought to get more, next week. Thank you for shopping at Wal Mart!"
