HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Officers of the Hallandale Beach Police Department SWAT Team have informed their chief of police that the entire team has resigned.
The HBPD SWAT sent a memo to Sonia Quiñones that announced a “collective” resignation of the 10 members.

ReplyDeleteWho will take away all the bodies? They start to smell really bad soon!
DeleteTake them to the farm. Just don't eat pork for a while.
DeleteHard choice here. Affirmative action police chief vs swat team that made the news a couple years ago for killing an un-armed man and his dog, whiles serving a warrant. If a swat teams job is to serve warrants I don't really think they are necessary.
ReplyDeletePretty hard to do your job when you know your chain-of-command doesn't have your back.
ReplyDeleteNot being well versed in these matters, I wonder how much a SWAT team is really necessary for most policing matters. My personal interactions with police have been somewhat limited. As an adult, Detroit and suburban cops helped me and my people with court ordered removals of children from risky environments. Typically it was 1 or 2 officers would show up with a child welfare worker, speak to the parties involved, deal with some drama then leave. This is not to say it always went well but usually did.
ReplyDeleteBig deal - a pretend SWAT team gets in a snit because the boss doesn't approve their 'training' (paid vacations) and their 'equipment' (Toys), so they 'resign' - but keep their pensions....
ReplyDeleteWhat good is a pointless act when you don't have anything to lose?
This "take a knee" shit has to stop. What the hell are these people thinking? You don't want to encourage the looters!
