I was about eight years old tooling down the road with my father in his 1916 Model T. I looked and saw our front wheel rolling down the road. One a those, Ah hey, Dad.
Also happened to my mother once on a date in a Model T. I suppose it was the same Model T they had to back up hills because the gravity feed from tank to engine wouldn't work.

ReplyDeleteAlso, reverse was the lowest gear. That's another reason ya backed up hills.
Delete...and that's why older Chrysler products had left hand thread on the left side wheels.
