LA Teacher's Union issues their list of demands

A major Los Angeles teachers union said in a research paper issued Thursday that the reopening of schools should be conditioned upon the passage of Medicare-for-All at the federal level, along with a slew of other left-wing policy staples at the state and local levels.

“It is time to take a stand against Trump’s dangerous, anti-science agenda that puts the lives of our members, our students, and our families at risk,” United Teachers Los Angeles President Cecily Myart-Cruz said in a statement unveiling the paper. “We all want to physically open schools and be back with our students, but lives hang in the balance. Safety has to be the priority. We need to get this right for our communities.”

  1. They are getting paid to stay home. Why would they EVER want to change that? Cut off their checks and see how devoted they are to student health.

    1. BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAA!!!

      YES. YES, YES!!!
Lets enact federal legislation based on the desires of a private collective bargaining agreement of 1 type of employee in 1 industry in 1 city in 1 county in 1 state of a 50-state union!
This is so fas r beyond ridiculous it doesn't even warrant a response!
Who the f*ck in their right mind thinks they have the right to push their ideas on the rest of the country?!?!
Oh, right, yeah, that "right mind" part, that ain't there. I got it now.

  2. This would be a good opportunity to weed out some teachers. We don't need all them do we with the schools being closed and all

  3. Stay home and rot. The kids will be happier and better off because their indoctrination into your ideology will end. Parents will have to make adjustments, but as taxpayers they will find themselves paying less and having more control over what their kids are taught.

Once we are past a short adjustment period, very few people will miss our "educators."

  4. Their demands are all that they couldn't get at any other time. The unions are using the chinkflu for negotiations. They see opportunity in crisis - therefore look to them and their ilk to perpetuate crisis. LA school district is the 2nd largest, right behind NY.
