More like the Kum & Stay

STILLWATER, Okla. (KFOR) – Several customers experienced issues with their cars after purchasing gas at the Stillwater Kum & Go on Sunday morning.

Anthea Bates told News 4 she had just made it back into town after visiting Tulsa when she stopped for gas, and it didn’t take long before she knew something wasn’t right.

“I pulled out to leave, almost immediately I could tell that something wasn’t right,” Anthea said. “I was driving home and it felt like my car wasn’t getting any power.”

  1. Okay, it was water in their underground tank. I was going to guess that it was a delivery of diesel that was put into the wrong tank like what happened near me not too long ago.

What an expensive mess. I would guess the water snafu would be worse that the diesel snafu.

    1. Really bad if you run an iron-block engine. Like, possible engine replacement... even much worse if the water is slightly acidic. I have no idea what kinds of additives are put in gasoline that might react at the water/fuel interface to make the water acidic, or it just may haven been acidic depending on its origin.

  3. Not the first time that has happened with Kum gas. When they moved into our area it wasn't 6 months before multiple reports of adulterated gasoline.

  4. I quit buying gas at small independent stations owed or managed by Habib. They will be two or three cents lower priced and they put water in their tank. The added water will mix with the ethanol and make your vehicle run like shit, if it runs at all. Fucking Desis and packis and all their kin are no more than cheap cheats. fuckem
