Some US Police Resist Enforcing Coronavirus Mask Mandates

Lang Holland, the chief of police in tiny Marshall, Arkansas, said he thinks the threat of the coronavirus has been overstated and only wears a face mask if he's inside a business that requires them. He doesn't make his officers wear them either.

So the day after Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson signed an order requiring masks to be worn in public throughout Arkansas, Holland made it clear his department wasn't going to enforce the mandate in the Ozarks town of about 1,300, calling it an unconstitutional overreach.

“All I'm saying is if you want to wear a mask, you have the freedom to choose that," said Holland, who said he supports President Donald Trump. “It should not be dictated by the nanny state."

  1. Now THAT is the way police should be thinking, unlike the limp dick cops in Miami, nabbing people for not wearing masks and ticketing them.

    1. I saw a video of a Miami mask Nazi giving a guy a $110 for wearing a mask but INCORRECTLY!

Here in n AR, hardy anyone wears a mask and the police don't say squat. I was just in the W/M in West Plains in s MO and had to wear a mask to get in but took it off inside as did about 1/2 of the customers, no on said anything.

  2. I have a new respect for the police officer who told Asa Hutchinson how things really are. The governor, in trying to set the people up to forcing them to following his mask mandate, was also trying to set up the police for failure and even more abuse at the hands of the citizenry, with an outcome that can only harm the police, and give the people in charge an excuse to give them the heave ho.
These liberal leaders are doing everything they can to force America into another civil war, to force Trump out, but what is going to happen, is that Trump will win, as is expected, and the left will go nuts, and start rioting and shooting, and the response will not be pretty, and will be only the beginning of what will be a very deadly and horrific civil war, that will cost probably a couple of million lives, this time around. The left has given the right enough warning that the right is prepared, and just waiting to get the signal to start to defend their rights. And it will not be pretty or a safe war, either. It will be a horrible and awful thing to behold, comparable to some of the battle as portrayed in some of the old testament tales. It is a sad thing, but inevitable since the very beginning of our nation, according to scripture. Wishing everyone safe times and health and happiness, in what may be the most dangerous days of our union. Watch your back.

  3. Since the Arkansas governor signed the decree, people with a bitch about neighbors not wearing the things should call state police when locals say, "Nope. Not gonna do it." Sometimes there is one state police per county, so the mask KGB might be waiting for a while.
