Probably just age. It's hard to climb at that level for a really long time. It's possible to climb at high levels for a long time, but time (and injuries) eventually slows us all down.
I keep wondering who/how is filming vids like this. Doesn't look like a drone. Always seems about 10 feet off the cliff face (see pix of people overnighting on cliff face platforms).
#3 reminds me of a cute little blond cheerleader my junior year of high school, I never did succeed in getting my hands on her. #1, I'm guessing gopher eradication. Friend of mine told me once about her dads attempt to get rid of gophers by pouring gas down the hole and igniting it. upon lighting it a flaming rodent came flying out of the hole ran through an open patio door into a closet. Some day I might tell about my ground hog eradication attempt. All I will say for now is that a whole gallon of gasoline is excessive.
