Cheryl Nanartonis told the Martin County Sheriff's deputies that she thought all of her food was going to spoil, so she called for help, according to the agency's Facebook post.

When I worked for a national appliance repair chain, only Refrigerated Medicine constituted a need for true "Emergency Service." Anything else, we would schedule the next available appointment. If your food spoils from a broken fridge, food can be replaced. If your health is in danger from a broken air conditioner or other appliance, leave the building and don't wait for a repairman.
