OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Republican politician Terry Neese has previously stated she has “deep roots in the Cherokee Nation,” but her campaign team admitted on Friday that Neese isn’t Cherokee Indian after KFOR set out to investigate.
First, KFOR reached out to the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, providing both Terry Neese’s maiden name and married name. The tribe also requested her date of birth so they could search their archives.
After the search, the Cherokee Nation’s Communications Department provided KFOR the following statement:

Actually, she's a Republican, which only proves that both parties are a pack of lying weasels. But it is worthy to note how quickly that 'investigation' occurred. Liawatha got away with her bullshit for years and is still in denial with barely a peep from the media.

ReplyDeleteThe thing is, (many) other tribes consider the Cherokee tribal rolls as a kind of joke since almost anyone could enroll in the 1890s. I went to the local CrowFair a few years ago where natives got a discount on admission. I told the guy at the ticket booth I didn't qualify and he said I should have just claimed I was Cherokee. Then we both laughed.
