True words brother we are better than most as the Fire we went through makes us harder. Those books are good, there’s a Christian bent, so some will not dream of picking this writer up. I personally found them useful.
John Lovell is a great teacher mentor and I find him to be quite intelligent. Yeah, I said that about a grunt. If you don't subscribe to his Warrior Poet Society on youtube, you should. He is a literal jack of all trades.
I love John's vid's, unfortunately Youtube has stopped sending me my links. Asked them what is going on, crickets. No links, none from anyone. I went to the site, it appears I'm still subscribed with notifications.
I would recommend all of John Eldridge's books. Great Christian man that works to keep men being men.
