HazMat suits and protective masks coming up!

New testing of the SARS-CoV-2 virus which causes COVID-19 found unlike similar viruses, it doesn't deteriorate and remains infectious in the air after 16 hours.

The study, published by the CDC's Emerging Infectious Diseases Journal, was conducted at multiple locations including Tulane University, U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases among others.

  1. Anyone who still thinks this virus wasn't engineered in a lab hasn't been paying attentionl.

  2. If it comes from the CDC, you can just ignore it as being scientific. They've screwed the pooch on this one.

  3. Whats next Issuing every body MOPP 4 gear to everybody. How many elderly are they going to kill this time by mandating Goggles or face shields? Don't you think it is a little late in the game to be recommending goggles or face shields. No more of this BS

  4. There has been so much conflicting information that this all resembles a Keystone Kops episode. And no, the flow of information being necessarily advanced as new knowledge is gained does not describe the clusterfuck we've seen in this case.

  6. Note, this 16 hour infection time was under laboratory conditions. No sunlight, no wind, no rain, no humidity.

Sunlight and humidity both work to neutralize the virus.

I do want to thank everyone who donated to the fund to help with my wife's stroke. She has been moved to a nursing home for rehab, but she is under quarantine for the next two weeks. So I am in a holding pattern, not able to see her. Thank you all for your support and prayers. With her loss and damage, any rehab is going to be long and slow. So please keep up the prayers both for her and our daughter. 15 is a hell of an age for a girl to lose her mother. But she is a good kid, raised to be strong and independent. Almost as smart as her daddy, smarter but I don't let her know that. And always attended a Christian school. So she has a good foundation. But the past year has been hard on her. So she needs your prayers too.

  7. What's wrong with misting Jack Daniels aerosols into the air to combat the china bug? If hand sanitizer is all it's cracked up to be then very fine airborne particles of at least 87 proof ought to do the job, plus it just might take the edge off all the other shit that's been going around.

  8. I have had measles, mumps, chicken pox, meningitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, and any number of colds and flu. I have been exposed to MRSA, VRE, hepatitis, HIV, and God only knows what other pathogens. I have eaten street food in Korea when we were stationed there in 1977. Quite frankly, my immune system can kill germs across the room.

SARS? Come at me, Bro, I ain’t afraid.

  9. That which does not kill me merely prolongs the inevitable.

  10. So, if you read the linked report, they used some different methods to make the virus remain viable for 16 hours. over other diseases they were testing.

    Really really bad science.

In other words, they ginned the results to make Covid-19 look worse then Sars or Mers.

In the end, it is an attempt to show why you would wear a mask. Not, however, scientific testing.
