Matt Jahn, who owns the Brooklyn-based Metropolis Moving, said he has been inundated with customer requests. It’s more demand than he can handle. “We are turning people away because we just don’t have the capacity,” he said. “Normally, in a given summer, we spend a bunch on advertising. But we cut it this year because we couldn’t afford it. And we have still had amazing demand.”
FROM HERE
I read a piece yesterday suggesting that the NYC and California escapees are actually the conservatives. As a Georgian, I hope it's true since the only ones I've met in the past are corporate migrants and didn't choose to move here. Still, a lifetime of experience with people moving into Georgia from what are now Blue states is that they don't like it here because it's not like where they came from and they are pretty vocal about it. I'm not optimistic. There used to be a couple of popular bumper stickers which said, "I don't care how you did it up North", and "Delta is ready when you are."
