Ahh, that brings back memories from the '70's: outside, blinding flash, big f'n BOOM, pupils squinched completely shut, standing still till eyes could see again, hoping that 'lightning striking twice' was a myth. Good times...
To this day lightning still scares the daylights out of me, I worked on Manitowoc cranes with 340ft of boom in Wy on mountaintops . We were hit several times, it was always a pain in the ass to check the boom for burn pinholes so the boom wouldn't collapse, then waiting for the x-rayers out of Salt Lake. Can't stand the sound of that metal ringing when hit, a sound all its own with this weird ass pitch, crazy loud.
I was driving down the road when a tree got hit a hundred yards ahead. It got hit with lightning, and it was just as impressive. The wood was still falling and hit my car when I drove past it.
Neighbors meth lab?
ReplyDeleteLightning strike according to the caption at the site I got it from.
Delete"Pa! Somebody's meth lab done blowed up!"
ReplyDeleteYou're from Kentucky, huh?
DeleteRural Texas originally. Kinda the same thing as Kentucky at times.
DeleteLightning strike? Neighbor left the oven on with no flame?
