Would guess New Orleans but probably Amsterdam. Never did see why building below sea level was a good idea. At least 100 feet above is my guideline. When you find sea shells in limestone in Iowa you know it can get deep. just a question of when or again.
The Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami 11 March 2011. Also the TÅhoku earthquake that did all the damage to Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear power plant. https://youtu.be/4XvFFfgXwnw
An old one now, but what is the difference between shrimp from the gulf and shrimp from Japan? The Jap stuff cooks itself and the gulf ones don't stick to the pan.
All I could think of were the two cyclists. Poor bastards.
ReplyDeleteWhere is this ?
ReplyDeleteJapan, 2011
DeleteDefinitely Japan.

ReplyDeleteIt would be wrong to want the Three Gorges dam to burst, wouldn't it? Asking for a friend.
ReplyDeleteActually that would be a very bad thing for the entire world's economy.
DeleteDang. That was quick.
ReplyDeleteI'll guess this was Kesennuma on March 11, 2011.
ReplyDeleteYes. That was an 18 foot sea wall - nice and high, right? Not high enough.
DeleteI saw several videos from Kesennuma, and one from a town upstream. Scary. That fucking river flowed backwards and just never stopped.
DeleteA real-life disaster movie with its own sound-track.
ReplyDeleteMan, those Japanese think of everything, don't they?
The damn music was un-needed.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens when 500,000 people flush their toilets in unison.
ReplyDeleteThe longer cut...
