WW II: Selfless Acts, Crucial Results

No one wants war. When economic, diplomatic, territorial or political/religious relationships have deteriorated to the point that the opposing sides feel there is nothing to be gained from continued negotiation and they resort to armed conflict, everyone loses. Yes, there are instances when war is necessary, when it happens for “good” reasons (Can anyone say that the West’s military efforts to stop Hitler’s reign of terror and his crimes against humanity in the 1940’s was anything other than completely justified? Of course not.), but even in those instances, it would have been far better if the sides could have resolved their differences without bloodshed and widespread destruction of property.

However, whether fought for good reasons or not, war is a constant throughout human history. And in the strategizing and actual execution of military action, multiple instances of incredible personal bravery and technological innovation abound. Let’s look more closely at two events in World War II that epitomize this kind of personal initiative and ingenious problem solving.

  1. Come one now, all Hitler did was 'the thing', and who are we to attack the Aryan Race?
We were nothing but a bunch of racists.

    1. More than that, Hitler committed suicide. Clearly, WWII was just a cry for help, and no one ever reached out to the poor man, who was probably suffering PTSD from the Great War.

  2. Guy Gibson who lead that mission was later shot down over the Netherlands while flying a pathfinder mission. He is buried in a cemetery in the village of Steenbergen.
My wife and I went down there to see his grave and actually got to speak with the minister who had performed the burial service back in WWII. His grave site as well as the graves of other allied soldiers buried there still have fresh flowers placed on their head stones every week

  3. There is no way to 'resolve differences' with evil. Evil will always change or ignore the agreement. Evil will always tear you down. Evil will always want what you have.

Evil needs to be cut down, stacked and burnt to dust.

    2. Agreed. And today the evil of Marxism runs rampant and unchecked, having won WWII.

    2. She is most likely correct. The Rothschild family has supported both sides of every war in Europe and both World Wars since 1604 (the year) only for money's sake.

    3. Perhaps. No way to verify an oral quote from that long ago, and from a time when women were rarely quoted.

But we do know that it was a Jewish banker who gave up his entire fortune to finance the American Revolutionary War.
