Armed Oregon Residents Set Up Roadblocks After Fire Was Ignited Intentionally

Bands of armed Oregonians blocked roads and demanded identification from motorists after a small fire was ignited intentionally on Saturday, police said.

Multnomah County Sheriff Mike Reese said the blaze was started by an illegal firework and was put out quickly, according to a Saturday tweet from the department. Oregon has been plagued by wildfires in recent days, as 22 people on the West Coast have lost their lives and large portions of the state were covered by an orange hue, ABC News reported.

  1. That's pretty darn rich coming from the county that not only allowed, but encouraged, "peaceful protests" in the streets of Portland for more than 100 days. Sheriff's Dept. should have shook their hands and thanked them for the assist.

  2. And that, my friends, is why I support defunding the police 100%. They don’t work for you and me and are the only thing protecting the marxist shitbags that are causing these problems. Think about that. Normal people are being arrested and charged for defending themselves and their property while the Brownshirts are on a catch and release program. If that isn’t a wake up call, there’s nothing people like me can or will do for you. Good luck you poor dumb bastards. The “rule of law” went out the window a long time ago.

    1. One question regarding defunding: what is the plan for when their pay stops? Because they will be armed, organized, and angry. Twenty seconds after they're defunded, they'll just be Los Zetas 2.0.

    2. Yeah, and the funny part is, the people they're letting off the hook are vastly more likely to be the ones that take a shot at the cops then the ones trying to protect their own.

Luckily, I live on a private road ... We're allowed to block it off. Nice rolling fall back defenses to my property.

  4. “The Sheriff’s Office will not tolerate illegal activity of any kind, including civilian roadblocks,” he said in the tweet. “We want to remind people, if they see suspicious activity or persons, call 911.”

    Then do your job!

  5. Antifa blocks the streets of downtown Portland and beats on cars with skateboards and pipes while the Portland PD (not the Sherrif’s department) did NOTHING.

  7. The riots in Portland have stopped because Antifa has moved on from rioting, to setting fires & chainsawing power poles. The color revolution continues...

  8. I have family in the area, they reported seeing loads of people in cars without license plates trying to drive up into the forest... That's why there were roadblocks.

  10. I'm part of our organized neighborhood watch. My wife was out and stopped a truck just yesterday with her AR. This guy was not a local resident. We do have the right to ask anyone who doesn't live here and is simply hanging out. These are Perilous times.
