That cost about $300 in parts to fix on the 4WD then there is a wheel alignment. Probably cheaper on a 2WD. Common issue with older Toy's. The cotter pin falls/gets knocked out. With worn ball joints the nut will be loose and eventually vibrate off.
I just checked. Chevron regular here in my NorCal burg is currently $3.29, 20 cents higher than the going rate and 25 cents higher than Raj's Kwik-e-Mart and the local Arco.
Same thing happens in the UK but here it's normally the left (nearside) front because we drive on the left and we have many traffic islands (rondavels over there?) where we have to drive around them with the the steering locked over to the right thus putting excessive wear and constant g forces on the left front wheel suspension.

ReplyDeleteAnother reason I hated my Tundra.
Yes. There was a funny knocking noise in the front end. But then......
ReplyDeleteChevron is NOT where you go for cheap gas in SouCal. Here locally they're about 30 cents higher than all the other gas stations.

DeleteCan't be Hawaii, the prices are too low.
