EIGHT cops shot in the same city since June???

ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis police officer who was shot in the head while responding to a shooting on the city’s south side died Sunday, authorities said.

Officer Tamarris L. Bohannon, 29, had been with the department for 3 1/2 years.

Hayden said eight of his officers have been shot in the line of duty since June 1.

    I grew up 40 mile or so away. Used to go to the city for concerts, and my maternal grandmother lives in St. Louis city. While they try to have extra protection by police for sporting and other big events, I wouldn’t go there now. They have a huge problem with “youths” and young men shooting each other and the response is to make city parks child care facilities and ban guns. The city is just a blighted shithole with a withered tax base. It has been going downhill for sometime, slowly getting worse and more violent. Missouri is a constitutional carry with no preemption. If we get a liberal governor and some more liberal state reps and senate, that will surely be attacked, as “common sense” gun control.

    It'll get worse, with the FBI now reporting that gangs in Misery have gotten together and agreed that any cop who draws his gun while effecting an arrest will be shot.
