Florida DEA agent says he conspired with drug cartel

TAMPA, Fla. – A once-standout U.S. narcotics agent admitted Monday to conspiring to launder money with the same Colombian cartel he was sworn to fight — one of the most egregious betrayals of the badge in the history of U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

    ohhhhhhhhh I'm SURE he's the only one. Sure of it. All the other DEA agents (and other agencies) are totally above board. (/sarc)

    seriously, can we end the war on some drugs now? Mercy rule alone. Drugs is up 72-3

    Many DEA agents are not exactly clean. The DEA relies on local cops brought into 'DEA Task Forces' to do most of the work.

    And he was stupid enough to spend lots of it on conspicuous "toys". I think it is a toss-up over who is worse the ATF or the DEA. And we already know that the FBI is mostly corrupt and the CIA is totally gone to the dark side. That leaves the US Marshals and the DHS.
