Florida Democrat suggests it’s ‘open season’ on killing Republicans and President – shares hit list?

FLORIDA – Politics is hardly ever pretty when it comes for folks racing toward an election, and thus that means the election for Florida’s 18th congressional district is not immune from the likes of nasty rhetoric from people trying to get a seat at the table.

But when you have people calling for an “open season” for killing your political opponents, then that is where a line has been crossed.

  1. ...and this dumb beeoootch is still walking around free after threatening President Trump and a whole list of other people? In the USA I used to know, she would be jailed on psychiatric hold for a minimum of 30 days probably 60 days if the judge wasn't a Demonrat.

    1. The Secret Service needs to break her door down at 3AM like the FBI did to Roger Stone. Lock her up!

  5. Oh FFS, that was clearly a rhetorical device, not an actual threat.

This Pam Keith woman's probably an asshole, but she didn't threaten to kill, or incite others to kill, administration officials and people associated with Trump in that Tweet.

We have enough actual threats, not to mention actual murder (why has no one been arrested for the murder of that Patriot Prayer guy in PDX?) to deal with. We don't need to play the victim over some comment by an asshole woman.

To use a phrase I hate: Victimhood, it's not who we are!

    1. Booolllssshhhiiittt! If anyone in the country had made that kind of open, public threat against Obama or anyone in his administration, that person WOULD STILL BE IN JAIL. Remember, Rules for thee but not for me.

    2. Clearly, Mike_C?
Clearly, you don't know what you're talking about.
Loudmouth meant every word she said.
You might take them out of the jungle, but you won't take the jungle out of them.
In the end, these are still just savages.

    3. @Nemo, you're right: If someone had said that about anyone in the Obama adminstration, they'd have been destroyed first by the newsmedia, then in the courts...

@Anon, she may indeed want the people listed killed...

BUT. She was smart enough to phrase it so it's not an actionable threat. "Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?" is not an order, and the strong argument can be made it's not incitement. This Pam Keith stuff is a side issue and not a worth making a big issue over.

    4. USSS tends to take any comment about wasting a POTUS pretty seriously.

    5. Mike_C at 4:12pm,
Based on her other blatherings, she doesn't seem intelligent enough to re-phrase her lethal threats into 'just kidding!' language.

I'm willing to bet she got coached.

    2. Always include the British phrasing "Right royal" before "cunt." It makes it sound classy!
