Looks like a Raven 25 Cal. Accidentally shot out a friends back bicycle tire with it from the second floor room after we found it in his moms room. Second shot, friends younger bro tried to brace it with his thumb on the back of the slide. Third shot, friend tried to grip it tight up and got a few cuts from the slide in the thumb web area.
Man, I went to Academy yesterday to hunt some ammo. Mainly oddball metric bored ammo (6.5 Grendel for example) and 45/70 Govt. The more esoteric and priced high to boot. Rifle magazines - same, hardly any.
That's a piece I would disassemble, clean up, replace (or paint) the rusted screws, and take toa gun show to trade on something more useful. Might get $100 - $200 for it on trade.
The old saying about the .25 Auto was to be very, very careful shooting anybody with one. If they found out that you'd shot them, they might become angry. Of course, somebody would just about have to tell them, because they might not even feel a pissant .25. --Tennessee Budd
Ask anyone who's been shot with a .22LR round if they felt it.
I've seen video of the guy who invented the "bullet-proof" vest being shit with it. He had bruises the size of baseballs every place his vest took a round.
Any gun you have is the right gun to have at any given moment. Sure, you'd like to be able to drop a charging rhino in its tracks, but you put a .25 round into a thug trying to break into your house or car to rob you, he's going to immediately start reconsidering his life choices.
What make is that?

ReplyDeleteClunky, but functional. Not my first choice for a .25 auto.
DeleteI believe it is a Lorcin model. Save it for a buy back and you will make more than it is worth as a weapon.
DeleteGuessing by the comment it's a Gyrojet?
ReplyDeleteA Jennings/Ring of Fire pistol. They will be safer just burying it again.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!

ReplyDeleteMy guess is Bryco but I may be wrong.

ReplyDeleteMy friend, Sam, has a 4 gauge shotgun. Its probably hard to find ammo for it too.
ReplyDeleteI'd see if ballistics wanted to check it for the halibut.
ReplyDeleteWhy would someone bury a gun???
ReplyDelete/Sarc
Looks like the same gun the lawyer lady in Missouri was waving around a few months ago.
