Why Everyone Likes Lever Actions - Lucky Gunner

Instead of posting the video that not everyone can see, I'm taking Zendo Deb's suggestion and just posting the youtube link from now on. Links will open in a new tab as always because I'm cool about that shit.

  1. Love a lever gun. Have several in different calibers, for squirrels to elephant

  2. Every wheel gun you have should have a matching lever action riffle.

    1. Same here, Henry, Marlin, and Winchester are all represented in my collection but a favorite is my late Grandfathers Savage 99 take down 30/30. It's a fast handling compact design that was ahead of it's time and the brass digital ammo counter is really cool!

  5. I try and shoot once a week. So I started bringing my 9422 with me for the wife. Those 556 rounds are getting hard to come by. Well now that's all she wants to shoot. And she's to the point where she'll give Chuck Connors a run for his money.

    PS
Try this, que up Siri on your I Phone, and ask where the nearest terrorist is. You'll be amazed at the results.

  6. Marlin 1894 camp carbine in .357 magnum pre safety, sun faded to gold walnut stock, blued steel is my absolute favorite rifle I own.

I just pull it up, look at what I want to hit, and it just hits. It seems like it was made just for me.

    1. Got one like that. Pre everything microgroove 1894 .357 mag. I put an XS sight system rail and a forward mounted Leupold scout scope with a medium loop lever from Ranger Precision Point. It's one of the most popular guns in my collection when we have family/friends range day. Planning on making it my Grandkids entry centerfire rifle. Now all I need are some Grandkids.

    1. WAY TO GO, ED!!!!! Now it's time to enjoy the fruits of a lifetime of labor.
I was kinda lost the first year after I retired, not having something to keep me busy for 10 hours a day, but now I'm really, really enjoying it.
Congratulations, my friend. Hug those grandkids for me.

  8. I recently traded a Remington 770 in .300 Win Mag for a Marlin 336 in 30-30. I figured I'd ripped off the guy I traded to, and he figured he ripped me off. So, it must have been a good trade. I was able to stockpile a few cases of ammo before things got too crazy. Probably a lifetime supply of 30-30 for me.

  9. Got a Henry in .22 magnum......powerful, lightweight, fairly accurate, and you can carry a lot of ammo, something I considered just in case....love the gun....
